Live A Healthy Life!

Healthy

Welcome to Always Healthy! this is my personal blog about how to stay as healthy as possible, but it isn’t just about healthy eating… ooh no, there is much more to being healthy than just what you eat, although that is very important. This blog will focus on many different aspects of being healthy in general including: Exercise, sleep apnea, eating, and also it’s important to have a healthy mind.

It was only ten years ago now that I barely knew what the word healthy meant… Or well, I did but I had chose to ignore it. I wasn’t exactly fat, I suppose I am what some of you what call one of the lucky ones with an extremly fast metabolism, I ate and ate and no matter what, I would barely put on any weight. for that reason alone it probably contributed to my healthy more than anything, I remember thinking to myself “I ain’t going to put on any weight so I may aswell eat this” and I continued to have that attitude for years.

Untill one day I started losing quite a lot of weight and I was constantly fatigued, So I decided to go to the hospital and then the doctor broke the news to me.. I had type 2 diabetes. I was devastated, but the truth is… It was my fault in the first place at the end of the day. And at that moment I had quite a watershed moment, I told my self everything is going to change, I was going to exercise, I was going to eat properly… I was going to be HEALTHY! and that was probably the hard bit out of the way but as the saying goes ‘easier said than done’ I had to stick at it, not just give up seven months down the line.

The hardest part in my personal opinion is getting the balance right, to eat healthy and exercise at the same time, what I always struggled with was eating just the right amount so that when you exercise you aren’t to fatigued and you have plenty of energy to keep you going, I always seem to find exercise very hard when I have eaten to much or too little, and it’s incredibly important that you exercise correctly or you could run the fear of giving up.

The key is moderation, don’t by any means overdo it, even if you are overweight, if you suddenly go from eating pizza’s, fry ups, take aways week in – week out and then you suddenly go from that to eating healthy meals five times a week whilst implementing tough cardio exercise daily then this could be potentially dangerous as you run the risk of a heart attack. Start slow and really build your way up, increase the intesity of your work outs as you get more fit.

Thats just a little bit about me, I have been living a healthy life now for over ten years and I’ve never felt better! just make sure you stick at it, I have many helpful tips all over this blog so take a look around, it might just save your life.
